My today's food !!!

I prepared curry (korma in tamil)for the first time with the guidance of sister and aunt. Let me tell you how i made it :-)

Ingredients :-

Coconut, tomato, potato, beans, carrot, chilly powder, coriander powder, Fennel seeds (sombu in tamil) , onion, salt, oil.

First fry a little of fennel seeds in frying pan without oil. Keep it aside. Now put some oil in pan and fry tomato and chopped onion. Cool these a little by keeping in open space for some time.

Grind coconut (as needed depending on the number of persons to be served) with fried soombu. Add a little of water and grind well. For grinding you can use mixer ! Now put fried tomato and onion, add a spoon of chilly powder and two spoons of coriander powder and grind well again. You will get a good paste now.

Meanwhile cut carrot, beans and potato as the shape you need and boil them in a vessel. After the vegetables are baked, filter the water and add this water to the paste we have prepared. Boil this mixture till it fumes. Now add baked vegetables and add salt to taste.

That's it :-) Try and enjoy the dish. It came up superb to me to my amazement !!!

Humour

HUMOUR

Laughter is the best medicine.

When you laugh, all kinds of wonderful things happen to benefit your body and mind. Endorphins are released in your brain which give you a "natural high."

Laughter relieves pain. You can only laugh when you are relaxed and the more relaxed you are, the less pain you feel. Funny books and movies are ideal pain relievers.

We often get sick by taking ourselves and life too seriously. What we need to do is laugh to help us stay healthy.

Let us assume that you are suffering losses in business and at the same time going through a bad phase in your married life.

If all this is going on, why make things worse by being unhappy as well?

To be a winner, one should have the ability to laugh at difficulties. One person, involved in the above situation, would resist laughing for two years. Another may decide that after two weeks it is time to stop crying and start laughing. Therefore, the first person gets to stay miserable for much longer than the second one. And he chose to.

One of our major responsibilities towards others is to enjoy ourselves! When we are having fun, we feel better, work better and people want to be around us.

FORGIVENESS

FORGIVENESS

Tom says, "I can't forgive Jerry for lying to me."

Tom believes that if he can't forgive Jerry, it is Jerry's problem.

THIS IS NOT JERRY'S PROBLEM. THIS IS TOM'S PROBLEM.

When we don't forgive, we suffer. The person we consider 'guilty' is not bothered and we unncessarily put ourselves through so much mental anguish.

Some people never forgive their parents and ruin their lives just to prove to their parents what bad parents they are. Their message is, "It is your fault that I am unsuccessful and lonely and now you can watch me suffer".

They believe that by ruining their lives they are actually punishing their parents. Our parents brought us up the best way they knew. To blame them for a bad job of parenting is fruitless and destructive.

What is done is done. Get over it and move on.

The same goes for blaming other people. Do not hold grudges and harbour resentment.

FORGIVE AND FORGET.

Don't be a garbage collector. Throw out the thrash!

When someone harms you unintentionally then forgive and forget but if someone cheats you then forgive but don't forget their name.

You cheat me once, shame on you.
You cheat me twice, shame on me.

Discipline

DISCIPLINE

Winners know the value of discipline. Anyone who has accomplished something has never done it without discipline, whether in business, sports or academics.

Being disciplined means being committed. Everyone has dreams but not everyone is committed to fulfilling their dreams. Discipline requires total commitment and sacrifice. It means self-control and staying focussed.

Some people interpret lack of discipline as freedom. They interpret this freedom as 'I don't care' attitude which not only harms them but this attitude is also against the interest of the society. A youngster's interpretation of freedom can be driving rashly without following the laws in which there is the possibility of not only his getting hurt but also hurting innocent road crossers.

Children brought up with excessive freedom and lack of discipline grow up becoming law-breaking adults.
